Re-Stitch
“This collection originated from culture issues class based on this garment. The original inspiration was my mother because I used her dress to construct the top. My main inspiration came from this shirt I found in New York during a trip with Line Development and I found it very interesting because of the type of stitch joining the sleeve and shirt body together. I did some research and learned this stitch is called a fagoting stitch. Its a stitch technique mainly used for joining two pieces of fabrics with open seams that have a delicate quality.”
