Who is Liz?
Liz Granger is a recent BFA graduate in Fashion Design from VCU, with additional minors in fashion merchandising and theater. She has practical experience working in a fast-paced environment as a hostess at Olive Garden, showcasing her strong communication and customer service skills. Liz has developed her sewing skills and design prowess, highlighted by her selected work in the VCU fashion show, which marks her journey as an emerging designer. Her passion lies in creating fashion that celebrates diverse body types and individuality, establishing a signature style that emphasizes bold beauty and inspires self-expression. Liz is now eager to bring her creativity and dedication to a dynamic fashion team.
Each collection pushes creative boundaries, whether through asymmetrical cuts, luxe fabrics like velvet and faux fur, or the use of vivid color blocking and custom prints. I stepped out of my comfort zone by embracing color and patterns over my usual dark palettes, incorporating playful card symbol cutouts and stitching techniques like the delicate fagoting stitch.
